The first snow storm of 2011. It began overnight between Sunday the 9th and Monday, January 10th. This is our house Monday afternoon. Observe the tops of the vehicles---there was at least a half foot of snow !

Bob came down with the flu, affecting him high and low accompanied by a 101 degree temp. Thankfully it was of the 24-hour variety. We stayed in, stayed warm and dreamt of balmy days on a beach in the British Virgin Islands.

This year we decided to read the chronological Bible together. Currently we are in Genesis, following the life of Jacob. We've been constantly reminded just how amazing our God is, Who still chooses to love and pursue us despite all the "off-course" choices we make! Choices that lead us into woeful situations. Thank God for showing people as they really are "warts" and all. Yet He blessed and used them. I want to line up behind Abraham of whom it is said, "And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness." Genesis 15:6
